Boss Hoskin completes Sharp deal

-

COLWYN BAY manager Ash Hoskin says this week’s signing of experienced striker Chris Sharp from Stockport County shows the intent the club has to bounce back from last season’s relegation.

The 29-year-old Sharp, son of former Everton and Scottish international Graeme, scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for Telford and has also had spells at TNS, Hereford and Lincoln.

Hoskin commented: “He is a fantastic signing for the club with his experience he and sets the tone for what we are trying to achieve.

“Chris is impressed with the players we have already signed and says he wants to be part of a team that is on the up.”

It brings the number of new signings that Bay’s new management team have made in the last couple of weeks to eight.

“There will possibly be one more, and we have invited a few other players to pre-season training to have a look at them,” reported Hoskin

The club are also holding trials for the first team, reserves and new Under-19s team on Wednesday June 17 at Betws-ynRhos playing fields from 6.30pm. Hoskin and Academy director and reserve manager Chris Thompson will be in attendance.
