With a week to go, last minute tickets are available for the Hoedown and BBQ on Saturday 20th June at Marl Farm, Llandudno Junction. Set in a huge barn in a great location, live entertainm­ent dancing with Ceildh Band Swing the Cat, bbq and bar. Guess Our Bear’s Name and help raise money to fund a St David’s Hospice Nurse. With her friendly face and smart nurse’s uniform, our lovely cuddly teddy bear is only missing one thing – a name! This weekend the gates at 29 Woodland Park, Colwyn Bay will be open to the public in aid of St David’s Hospice. On Saturday (13th) and Sunday (14th), 11am-3pm you can enjoy the beautiful garden, a cup of tea or coffee and peruse the plant stall.

Ladies - join in our coach trip to the races. The fashion stakes will be high, the race thrilling and the atmosphere electric! The coach leaves from Llandudno on Saturday 22nd August. Tickets are £25 and includes entrance to the open course. Please call 01492 873674 to book your place.

The Northern Soul Night is being organised in memory of ‘Bobby’. Held at the Conservati­ve Club in Llandudno on Wednesday 24th June (7pm -11.30pm). All proceeds will be donated to St David’s Hospice. Entrance 50p on the door.

The Dragon Boat festival is held on Llyn Padarn Lake in the heart of Snowdonia on Saturday 4th July, it is a fantastic day out for both rowing teams and spectators. From 11am onwards 40 foot Hong Kong dragon boats will be battling to the finish line with the quickest team being crowned champions at the end of the day. If you would like to enter a team (consisting of 15-20 crew members) and compete in the Boat Race, please contact Pam Sharp on 01492 873664.

Many thanks to Mary-Ann Duncalf, the village of Henryd and the school for raising £1,233.60 at their annual coffee morning for St David’s Hospice.
