Formula Junior racer Hughes to concentrate on E-type when 2020 racing resumes

Hughes plans to concentrate on racing a Jaguar E-type when the 2020 season finally starts.

The North Yorkshire driver has acquired a car from Jaguar expert Mike Wilkinson and is planning to take part in a mix of races in the Jaguar Classic Challenge, GT and Sports Car Cup and with Peter Auto in France.

“I’ve now sold the Formula Junior Brabham and the E-type is the main focus for this year,” he said during a test day at Donington Park in March earlier this year. “That was my first day in the car.”

Hughes made his E-type debut at last year’s Donington Historic Festival, where he shared the car with Mark Wright.
