TOP 5 DRIVERS
1 Enaam Ahmed
Team: Carlin Championship position: 1st
Wins: 13 Took wins at every meeting bar one in an almost perfect season. Highlight was a stunning drive from seventh on the grid to win at Spa in race two. Rockingham was the only noticeable blip with an error at the start in race three.
2 Ben Hingeley
Team: Fortec Motorsport Championship position: 3rd
Wins: 4 On his day he was quick enough to beat anyone but needed more consistency to mount a serious title challenge. Faultless drive from pole at Donington in race one showed he should have challenged Ahmed more often. Two DNFS at Brands Hatch was the low point.
3 Toby Sowery
Team: Lanan Racing Championship position: 4th
Wins: 2 Disappointing season with only two wins at Silverstone showing a brief glimmer of hope in the hunt for the championship. Lost a third win at Brands Hatch after being excluded. Possibly would have taken second in the standings had he not missed the final round at Donington.
4 Jordan Cane Team: Douglas Motorsport
Championship position: 8th
Wins: 3 Joined midway through the season and made the most of reversedgrid races to take three wins, including one on his debut at Snetterton. More consistency required but he could be a championship contender if he decides to return to the series next year.
5 James Pull
Team: Carlin Championship position: 2nd
Wins: 0 Consistent throughout the season with 14 podiums but poor luck and lacking that final tenth-of-asecond frustratingly cost him the chance of wins. Best chance came in the rainshortened race one at Brands Hatch when he was about to go for the lead just as the red flag was shown.
