‘SHE WAS FLIRTY & WANTED TO PARTY’

A MARRIED Rolls-Royce Union rep accused of climbing into bed with a woman at a hotel conference told a court the woman was a flirt and ‘wanted to party’.

Tool-maker Jon Brough, 46, claimed the woman had been flirting with him and sitting on his lap before they went to her room at the Esher Place Conference Centre in Surrey.

Inner London Crown Court heard how Brough had been drinking throughout the afternoon and evening at the conference in October 2016.

But Brough, who has been sacked from his job, insisted that the woman ‘wanted to party’

Jurors heard she had been drinking at the hotel, then later at a pub nearby.

She claims she woke up with her jeans unzipped, her bra unclipped and Brough lying next to her.

“I don’t know how he got there,” she told the court.

Brough said the woman had become more and more drunk as the evening wore on.

He said: “She had obviously had a bit to drink. She was being loud and boisterous. SACKED: Brough onto a sofa and the CCTV shows Brough and his colleague Brian Hewish helping to pull her up again.

Brough said: “We all went up to the room. She fell between the bed and the wall.

“Brian was inside trying to get her into bed and I was waiting outside, leaning on the wall. When he came out, I went in.
