Steps star hoping to cook up a storm on show

STEPS singer Ian “H” Watkins has delighted fans by announcing he is part of the 2024 Celebrity MasterChef line-up.

The 48-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star, who was born in Llwynypia and now lives in Cowbridge, confirmed the news on Instagram, telling his 121k followers he could “finally” share the news.

H and the other fellow celebritie­s taking part will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Welsh singer Wynne Evans, who won the show last year.

Joining H in the line-up are former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby, Love Island’s Chloe Burrows, model and TV personalit­y Christine McGuinness, This Morning presenter Craig Doyle, EastEnders actor Danielle Harold, The Traitors star Diane Carson, make-up artist and TV judge Dominic Skinner, presenter Edith Bowman, model and TV personalit­y Emma Thynn, comedian and actor Eshaan Akbar, Gladiator and team GB sprinter

Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, and television personalit­y Jake Quickenden.

Also in the line-up are comedian Jamie MacDonald, pop star Mutya Buena, BBC Radio 2 Presenter OJ Borg, actor Rochenda Sandall, presenter Snoochie Shy, actor Tamer Hassan, and Strictly Come Dancing profession­al Vito Coppola. Celebrity MasterChef will return this summer and will see John Torode and Gregg Wallace keep a close eye on the culinary efforts of the 20 celebs as they put them through six weeks of increasing­ly intense challenges. MasterChef series editor Katie Attwood said: “Celebrity MasterChef fans are in for a treat this summer - with a top line-up of celebritie­s and the ever-thrilling John and Gregg on judging duty.

“These stars will need to pull out all the stops this year as we’re really testing their mettle. It’s one you won’t want to miss!”
