IT’S BACK: NATIONAL MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM ‘LIVE’
This weekend, visit the NMM for free with a host of talks, stands and of course, classic motorcycles
Following huge demand, National Motorcycle Museum LIVE returns on October 30-31 as a two-day event. Everyone can visit for free (car parking is £10 – bikes park for free!) and enjoy a host of attractions.
Indoor trade area
Inside will be a massive trade area full of stands which will feature many well-known names including Central Wheel Components Ltd, Triumph Motorcycles, Sealey Tools and Norton Motorcycles. The museum shop will be open with a huge range of books, clothing, and memorabilia.
‘Meet the Experts’ presented in association with Central Wheel Components Ltd
Chat with some of the museum’s specialist suppliers and craftsmen (including the restoration team) as well as other classic motorcycling personalities. Don’t miss the live wheel building demos by Central Wheel Components Ltd.
‘Henry Cole and friends’ live stage show
TV star Henry Cole and race legend Steve Plater will host stage shows on both Saturday and Sunday. They’ll feature popular personalities such as Allen Millyard, Guy (Skid) Willison, John McGuinness, Norton CEO Dr Robert Henschel, BSB and TT star Peter Hickman and his team manager Faye Ho. There will also be the draw for the summer raffle.
Ogri originals exhibition
Famous Ogri cartoonist Paul Sample will be showing his original full-page cartoon strips in a special display. These are the final batch of pen and ink originals rediscovered in 2017. All the original drawings on display can be purchased in an opportunity to own a piece of iconic biking history.
Royal Enfield test rides
Don’t miss your opportunity to test ride their latest machines over the weekend. Remember your licence and riding kit!
Race machine fire-ups
TT winner Steve Plater will host the starting of over a dozen famous race/special machines with their owners/creators giving an indepth commentary on each bike. Allen Millyard will also fire up three of his incredible motorcycle creations.
New Rotary track bike
A brand-new rotary powered motorcycle will be unveiled. Built for the track by rotary race bike legend Brian Crighton, the new Crighton CR700 track bike will be fired up on stage and Brian will chat about his plans for this incredible new rotary.
Food court and bar
Fantastic catering provided by the museum’s chefs will be available all weekend.
