More racing, better value for moneyand run over two weekends. The reason I like these ideas is because deep down I’m still just a fan. I’m a fan who can ride a motorbike. Basically the more time I can spendon the IoM, the better life gets.

For 2022 they obviously need to tieup all the loose ends from previous bookings, boats, accommodationetc, which means they will start 2023 with a clean sheet of paper.

The live television from 2022 will be amazing – absolutely brilliant. Andanyone that has got an internet connection will have access to it andbe able to watch every single session live. Imagine sittingouton track watching them come past and then be able to follow them around the whole lap. How cool would it be to have a Wimbledon style Henman Hill, sat there with afewbeers watching them fly by in real life then going back to following themon your phone? We’ll need all the riders to embrace theextra TV stuff because Iknow that sometimes the last thing you want to be doing is pissing around doing an interview. But if we know what’s expected, we all do our bit and that it drives the wholeevent forward then that’s good. As long as we get a slice of the cake too! As professional riders we all need to embrace it.

Ten races is going to be hard work. If you get the perfect weatherand everything goes on time then great, but if that happens I’ll eat my helmet. Butwe have to go for it and if we’ve got 10 races, we’ll do 10 races. It’ll be tough butwe’ll find the energy even though times where you’re doing 10 or 11 laps a day are bloody hard work. Everything they are doing makes the product better, if gives it more value which helps sell it to sponsors. Exciting times…
