Speed Triple (T509)
885cc 108bhp 62ftlb 196kg dry All-new bike based on new T595 Daytona complete with new, fuel-injected engine. Upright bars and ‘bug eye’ lights intended to mimic streetfighters of day, early models had polished frames.
Speed Triple 955
955cc 118bhp 72ftlb 196kg dry Updates into 955 form included a slightly bigger bore taking capacity to 955cc which in turn boosted both power and torque. There was also a larger silencer and the frame was now painted.
Speed Triple 955i
955cc 120bhp 74ftlb 189kg dry Larger airbox, valves and raised compression, relocated alternator/starter, new fuel injection. 11mm shorter wheelbase, sharper geometry, more angular seat, smaller headlights and new clocks.
Speed Triple 1050

First ‘stand-alone’ Speed Triple. The motor was bigger, chassis stumpier, with minimal bodywork. 2008 update saw 20mm longer pillion seat, radial calipers, fork legs anodized black and new wheels.
Speed Triple 1050 (Mk 2)
1050cc 135bhp 82ftlb 214kg (wet) Virtually all-new and distinguished most by new angular headlights. Also: brand new frame with sportier geometry, subtle engine and gearbox updates, new bodywork and option of ABS.
Speed Triple S
1050cc 138bhp 82ftlb 192kg dry Narrower tank, new headlights for a more aggressive face, ride-by-wire allows electronics including five rider modes via the new LCD dash. Stock version dubbed the S, alongside R version.
Speed Triple RS
1050cc 148bhp 86.2ftlb 192kg dry The most powerful Speed to date gets revised engine internals to reduce inertia and boost power (by 10bhp) and acceleration. It also got a raft of design tweaks, new wheels, and large TFT dash.
