UNITED RATED 7 6
BY SAMUEL LUCKHURST
ANDRE ONANA
Errant kick led to first goal though Casemiro and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were more blameworthy. Superb saves from Martinelli and Rice.
DIOGO DALOT
Back at left-back and embarked on a spirited run at 0-0 that could have ended more productively. Barely troubled.
CASEMIRO
Played walking football for Trossard’s goal, trundling out of defence. He should not have been playing there.
JONNY EVANS
Acquitted himself respectably in difficult circumstances. His wiliness helped keep Arsenal at bay until he came off injured.
AARON WAN-BISSAKA
Struggling to keep tabs on Trossard before he was blindsided by Belgian for the opener. Risk-aversive with his passing.
AMAD DIALLO
His first start in 886 days and performed so enterprisingly it remains mystifying why Erik ten Hag has started Antony.
KOBBIE MAINOO
An improvement on recent performances. Benefitted from the presence of an outright defensive midfielder next to him.
SCOTT MCTOMINAY
Captain on his return but he started in the wrong role. Struggled to do anything of note when he got the ball.
SOFYAN AMRABAT
A diligent performance and the kind United possibly expected more often. His balance was much-needed.
ALEJANDRO GARNACHO
A constant outlet but he was kept in check by White in the first half and squandered an excellent opening in second.
RASMUS HOJLUND
Worst run of form at the worst possible time continues. Unnerved Arsenal on his debut but not this time.
