-

POLICE have made another arrest in connection with the death of a man in north Manchester.

Alan Murphy, 39, was found in a critical condition after officers were called to Whitstable Road in Moston just before 4.50pm on February 18.

Mr Murphy, who had been stabbed, was taken to hospital but sadly died hours later.

Detectives investigating his death have now made a further arrest.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice.

He has been released under investigation.

William Doleman, 26, of Rossington Road, Moston, and Ademola Efunnuga, 25, of City Road East, Manchester, have both been charged with murder and remanded in custody pending a trial on September 27 this year.

HUNDREDS of Nigerian girls abducted from a boarding school have been returned to their families amid chaos as security forces opened fire on a gathering outside the school where the reunions were held.

One person died and two people were injured in the mayhem, according to local media reports.

The forces opened fire after stones were thrown at government officials, apparently in frustration at the drawn-out procedure, reports said.

Anxious and angry parents who were reunited with the girls after six days of waiting grabbed their daughters and left after shots rang out. The girls, aged 10 and above, had been abducted from the Government Girls Secondary School in Jangebe.
