Isaac continues his education at Oxford
ISAAC Buckley-Ricketts is hoping a change of scenery can help him catch the eye at City.
The Blues youngster took the decision to go out on loan to FC Twente last summer on the back of his participation in England Under-19s European Championships win.
However, after making just six appearances for the Dutch side, he opted to cut short his spell there and return to more familiar territory.
Last week it was announced the 19-year-old had signed on with Oxford United for the rest of the campaign.
The League One club are in the play-off hunt with just under half of the season to go, and BuckleyRicketts wants to push himself into the spotlight as well as help the team.
“I’ve always believed that no matter where you’re playing, people will notice good performances,” he told the Oxford Mail. “For me I don’t really judge it from the level you’re playing at, as long as you’re putting your all in and playing well, you will be seen.
“I just see it as coming in straight away and getting familiar with the team. You play your best when you’re happiest. If you’re uncomfortable and not sure what you want to say, you’re not going to be focused on the pitch.”
Lukas Nmecha, who won the Under-19 Euros with BuckleyRicketts, has been linked with a loan move to Sunderland.
