Salford’s chance to pull away at top

SALFORD CITY have the chance to move 11 points clear at the top of the National League North table when they welcome second-placed Harrogate Town to the Peninsula Stadium today.

The Ammies head into the top-of-thetable clash on the back of a comfortabl­e 3-0 victory against Telford United.

Salford beat Harrogate 2-1 in September.

STOCKPORT COUNTY head to Haig Avenue to face Southport.

The Hatters find themselves 10th in the table, and they’ll hope to keep their play-off hopes alive when they make the trip to their 16th-placed opponents.

FC UNITED are also away from home today and face a difficult test against sixth-placed Blyth Spartans at Croft Park.

Since Tom Greaves took over as player-manager, the Rebels have climbed to 13th place, and could move as high as 11th if they’re victorious against Blyth.

CURZON ASHTON are at home, hosting Kiddermins­ter Harriers at the Tameside Stadium. Curzon are in 14th placed, while play-off hopefuls Kiddermins­ter are in seventh position.

Evo-Stik Premier League leaders ALTRINCHAM vicit Stourbridg­e looking to extend their 10-point lead at the top of the table.

In the National League, MACCLESFIE­LD TOWN can extend their lead at the top when they head to AFC Fylde. The Silkmen are four points clear of second placed Aldershot Town, while Fylde are in 11th place.
