LEON Bailey has admitted it is his ‘dream’ to play in the Premier League after being linked with a move to United.

The 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward has been linked with the Reds - who have shown an interest - as well as Chelsea and Arsenal and says he has an ideal destination in mind, though he will not reveal it.

The Jamaican - close friends with City’s Raheem Sterling only joined the Bundesliga club a year ago and though they do not want to lose him, sporting director Rudi Voller admitted they would be open to offers of ‘crazy sums’.

Bailey has made an impressive start to life in Germany after signing from Genk, scoring eight goals in 16 games this season.

And though he is not agitating for a move, he said: “Of course I have a dream club, but I will not tell. Basically England was and still is my dream.

“And if I keep working hard, I’m sure it will work someday.”

Bailey, who has been monitored by United scouts since his days in Belgian football, hopes he can help Leverkusen’s push for the Champions League, with the team fourth in the Bundesliga table.

“The change to Bayer was just the right step for my development. I am happy here,” he added.

“And we have every chance to get into the Champions League. Europe is our big goal.”
