Premises licence bid by Em Pho
Burnham: Application submitted
This week’s public notices features a licensing application for a restaurant in Burnham, plans for a new care home, and road closures.
Licensing
An application has been submitted for a new premises licence for a Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant in Burnham.
Em Pho, at 64 Burnham High Street, has seating space for 40 to 45 customers and is seeking permission to sell alcohol to its customers from a small bar area.
The restaurant’s proposed opening hours are 12pm to 2.30pm and 5pm to 10.30pm, Monday to Sunday.
A noise management plan is in operation at the premises which aims to keep noise at a minimum for neighbouring properties.
Restaurant owner Shaz Anwar previously told the Advertiser that he took the inspiration to launch the Vietnamese venue due to his wife hailing from the South-East Asian country.
The name Em Pho is a tribute to a Vietnamese term of endearment, ‘em’, and a popular noodle dish, ‘pho’.
The new premises licence application is currently under consideration by Buckinghamshire Council.
Planning
A planning application has been submitted for a 70-bed residential and dementia care home in Westmorland Road.
Boutique Care Homes is looking to replace an existing six-bedroom house, known as Lawnfield House, with a threestorey care home.
The first floor would be designated for dementia care with the second floor feature 22 ensuite bedrooms as well as some staff-use facilities.
