Langley Juniors lifted by sponsorship deal
LANGLEY Cricket Club has announced a two-year Junior Section sponsorship deal with local estate agent Jordan Fishwick.
Langley re-started its Junior Section last year having worked with local primary schools and organisations who all identified a gap in sporting activities for children in the local area.
After a successful first season, it has flourished with the club entering teams at Under 9 and Under 11 levels in the local High Peak League.
Junior head coach Matt Stevens approached Chris Johnson of Jordan Fishwick with a sponsorship proposal and through Chris’ efforts a two-year agreement was reached.
Jordan Fishwick now sponsors the club shirts and their sponsorship has been used to purchase much-needed junior equipment.
Chris Johnson stated: “It is very important that companies like Jordan Fishwick support local clubs like Langley, especially helping with their efforts in re-starting the junior section. The progress made by the club over the last year has been tremendous and we are delighted to be able to support their development plans for the next two years”.
Stevens said: “We are delighted and very thankful that Jordan Fishwick has agreed this new partnership with the club. Sports clubs today rely heavily on local companies getting involved in some capacity.
“For a long standing and established local company like Jordan Fishwick to acknowledge the progress we have made and to support our plans for the future is a real boost for the juniors, parents, volunteer coaches and all involved.”
Langley CC runs Junior Section training sessions every Friday starting at 6pm until the end of July. There are two age groups at Under 9 and 11 and welcome boys and girls aged 7 to 13 to Friday sessions.
