New plea in search for Linda
ENQUIRIES to find a missing Loughborough woman are continuing – and police would still like to speak to people who know her.
Linda Chambers, 43, was reported missing by a concerned friend on Tuesday, September 10.
A public appeal was first made to help find Linda on September 13 and police now would like to trace a man thought to be called Rhys or Reece, who is believed to know her.
In a previous appeal, officers asked for help to trace a man called Garth who was believed to know her. He has since been identified, but Linda’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Detective Inspector Simon Boden, from Leicestershire Police’s Missing Persons Operations Team, said: “We believe that this person lives on the estate north of Belton Road in Loughborough and it has been suggested that he knows Linda.
“Are you that person? If so, then please get in touch as we think you might be able to help us find Linda. Any information you have could help us to establish where she might be.”
Linda is 5ft 3ins tall, has shoulderlength brown hair and wears glasses. She is known to visit a gift shop in Churchgate, Loughborough, as well as Queen’s Park. She uses buses to get around but also travels on foot.
CCTV images showing Linda shopping in Loughborough on Saturday, April 13, have been issued to help try and find Linda, while officers have also distributed leaflets to people using the towpath on the Grand Union Canal.
DI Boden added: “We’d still like to speak to anyone who knows Linda, or thinks they’ve seen her around Loughborough – or further afield – but has not yet contacted police.”
