It’s all change at the top as Blue Ball Lions regain first place in Division One over Bottom Railway BA

BLUE Ball Lions beat the Royal Oak DP 5-4 to go back to the top of Blue Ball Division One of the Loughborou­gh and District Pubs & Clubs Darts League after Bottom Railway BA lost their unbeaten record in a 5-4 defeat to the Three Nuns Left Footers.

Steve Hopkins hit his sixth maximum of the winter season and Tim Hardy his second for Spot On MP as they were well beaten by the Royal Oak Shooters. In a game of three ton plus checkouts, Steve finished on 108 for Spot On and Rich Page and Chris Wilson had 133 and 101 checkouts for the ‘Shooters’, Chris also hit his third maximum of the season so far.

In Wanty’s Division Two Harold Cooper hit a maximum for Tap and Mallet JB as they move to the top of the division despite losing 5-4 to the Blacksmith­s Blue Army. Duane Freer and Luke Askew both hit maximums for the Unicorn AW as they beat the Spot On Lads 8-1 to move within four points of the leaders.

In S H Cox Division Three the Three Nuns Exiles lost their unbeaten record in a close 5-4 defeat to the Spot On Guy ‘n’ Gals, but they still lead the division from the Twelve Degrees 26er’s who beat Black Swan JS 6-3.

In Generous Briton Division Four, only two points separate the top five teams. Leaders Crown Rejects did not play so Tap and Clapper move to within a point of them with a 7-2 win against the Boat Black Pearls.

In Navigation Division Five the Crown Jewels Barrow made it five wins from five with a 6-3 win against the Windmill Luffs. They are now one of only two teams left with a 100% league record, the other being division four leaders Crown Rejects. The ‘Jewels’ are now second, two points behind the Bottom Railway Leftovers with a game in hand. The Tap and Clapper Rojo’s 5-4 win against Blue Ball B propels them into third place.

Finally in Jim Kidger Division Six, the White Hart Stags close the gap on leaders Blue Ball MS to four points with their 6-3 win against the Black Swan B&W, and Top Railway One Bad Apple had a similar result against the LSU Darts @ Arena.

The draw for the second round of the Kater 4 Knockout Cup for games to be played on Thursday 28th December or re-arranged before Thursday 11th January 2018 is as follows:
