Wymeswold FC win over Greenhill puts them at the top

IN THE Shedland.co.uk Division One Wymeswold FC moved to the top of the table with a 4-3 win away at Greenhill YC Reserves as Linford Harris hit a hat trick, and Leo Coggan added a fourth for Wymeswold, Rich McLoughlin (2) and Jordan Ward were on the scoresheet for Greenhill.

The only game in the Sports Advocate Division Two saw Measham Imperial being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Castle Donington Reserves, Dan Sherratt scored for Measham and Sam Warren struck for Donington Reserves.

Windmill Trophies Division Three title chasers Loughborough Emmanuel kept their title hopes alive with a 4-0 win away at Loughborough FC ‘A’, Charlie Patel, Leon Webster, Rich Cowlishaw and Jon James were amongst the Emmanuel goalscorers.

Woodhouse Imperial Reserves beat Mountsorrel FC 5-0, Tony Gresley scored twice and Lee Tebbutt, Jon Dixon and Brett Davids added a third, fourth and fifth for Woodhouse.

In the Premier Cup Group B, Falcons FC beat Ravenstone United 3-2, Kieron Baldock, Liam Henson and Ben Fox were on fire for the Falcons, with Dan Lawson bagging a brace for Ravenstone.

Bottesford FC beat Sutton Bonington 2-1, as George Crowther and Luke Pin- nock scored for Bottesford and Stefan Zaqueu got the only goal for Sutton.

In the Inter League Cup Group A, Caterpillar FC beat Studs 5-3, Ian Mackay (2), Ross McGarry (2) and Matt Pratt with the Caterpillar goals, and East Leake beat Kibworth Town 3-2 with Alex Pritchett, Neil Thompson and Kyriakos Kyriakopoulos scoring for East Leake.

Sutton Bonington Academicals lost 3-0 at home to Houghton Rangers.

In Group B Sporting Markfield won 3-2 away at Dunton and Broughton United, Niall Smith scored twice and Guy Weston got the third for Markfield.

Loughborough United drew 2-2 with Ashby Road as Liam McClelland and Stan Wallis scored for United.

Cossington Saints drew 1-1 at home to Fleckney Athletic, with Steve Marshall getting the Saints goal.

Thringstone MW lost 3-1 at home to Old Aylestone, as Andrew Preston got the Miners goal.

In Group C, FC Coalville lost 3-0 away at Kirby Muxloe Three Lions, and in Group D East Leake Robins beat Glenfield Town Reserves 2-0, as Nick Dyer and Mason Ball got the Robins goals.

Market Bosworth beat Lutterworth Athletic DT 2-1, as Jake Marlow and Mason Sheasby were on the scoresheet for Bosworth, and in the final tie of the weekend Greenhill YC ‘A’ lost 4-0 away at Dunton and Broughton United DT.
