THIS WEEK THE WAY WE WORKED

-

OVER the next six weeks, this special collectable photo series will explore what it was like to live, work and play in North Staffordshire, from the 19th century to more recent decades.

Faces, places and moments in history are frozen in time in our unique picture archives, and putting this series together has turned up many images that haven’t been seen since the first time they were used in our pages.

Through them, we want to tell the stories of our communities, through good times and bad. Stories that show the long legacy of caring that we see continued today in the dedication and sacrifice of our NHS heroes.

Stories of familiar street scenes that show how much has changed in our neighbourhoods - and how much has not. Stories of the fads and fashions, the music we listened to and the clothes we wore.

Each week we will look at a different aspect of life in North Staffordshire over the years, focusing on themes as varied as fashion, the workplace, family life and transport.
