Oyster IBC ladies enjoyed a clean sweep when they welcomed Prince Arthur, Gillingham for their first Kent League match of the year. The hosts won on all six rinks, securing a 145-77 aggregate victory and a maximum 10 points.

The biggest win came from Lin Riches, Barbara Mcgillicud­dy, Chris Appleton and Sue Close who triumphed 39-7

The Oyster picked up nine points from their trip to Bromley, but the outcome of the contest was in the balance right up to the end. With one team playing their last end Bromley led 89-88, but the Oyster managed two shots to snatch victory, 90-89.

■the men’s first league game of 2020 produced a 124-96 win over White Oak, Swanley.

Peter Hogston, Peter Gibson, Keith Dellard and Brian Watson (35-10) had the best of their three wins.

The home game with Royal Tunbridge Wells, was far closer with each side winning two rinks, drawing two, and losing two.

However it was the Royals who took the aggregate win, 125-123.
