Toon secure their place in cup final Herne Bay & Whit Sunday League

Canterbury Toon are through to the final of Roger Cork Memorial Cup after a 3-0 victory over Whitstable Old Boys. Ben Hanrath, Ben Rowley and Oli Small were their marksmen. Monument PFC edged past Chiham in the Challenge Cup second round with goals from Danny Williams and James Brown securing a 2-1 win. Tom O’brien scored Chilham’s goal. Nathan Perry scored twice to help Littlebour­ne to a 5-2 victory over The Druids in the second round of Whitstable Charity Cup Junior section. Robbie Loomer, Dan Sillitoe and Shaun Black completed their tally with Jeremy Lee and Simon King replying for the home side. Ryan Lee netted twice as Bay United pipped Oare 4-3 in the second round of the Faversham Charity Cup junior section. Buddy Rowden and Kane Kupperblat­t were the other scorers. Rising Sun have gone clear at the top of the Premier Division after a 2-1 victory over Waterfront. Ryan Miller and Stuart King were the scorers for Sun who have opened a three-point lead over long-time leaders Monument, who have played a game less . Chartham were 3-1 victors over Tankerton Royals ( Joe Bill), while Crusaders beat Hampton 4-3. Wingham drew 2-2 at home to Chislet, whose goals came from Ben Waite and Ted Johnson. Billy Shearer scored three goals including two from free kicks as A1 Tyres won an 11-goal thriller against Faversham United in the first division. Ashley Tuite, Liam Wellings and Tom Weal were also on target in the 6-5 success. United scored through Steve Barleycorn, Ryan Sargent, Neil Turner, Karl Blower and Sam Johnson. Keiran Amer’s treble helped The Elephant to a 4-0 win over City Lions, Rob Pollock being the other scorer. Monument Reserves beat Faversham Strike Force 3-1 with goals from Joe Smith (2) and Charlie Hallett. Sam Gaiger scored the Strike Force consolatio­n. Herne Bay Athletic beat Northgate Rangers 2-1 in Division 2, with Tankerton winning by the same margin against The Heron.
