Ashford men’s 1st XI lost 3-1 at home to Burnt Ash in their final Kent/Sussex Regional 1 game before the Christmas and New Year break.
They trailed 2-0 at half-time, conceded another goal in the second half, before Andy Hill pulled one back from a penalty corner.
The defeat – an eighth in 11 games – leaves them second from bottom, with the league programme resuming in mid-January.
The 2nds were beaten 5-3 in the return Kent 1 fixture between the clubs.
Ashford scored first but came out on the wrong side of the result in an end-to-end contest, with Kevin and Robin Miller and Paul Congerton the scorers.
Ashford occupy bottom spot in the table at the halfway stage.
Ashford ladies’ 1sts are ninth going into the mid-season break in East Women’s League, Division 2 South East.
Amy Thomas was on target for second-bottom the 2nds in their 1-1 draw at Burnt Ash in Kent 1.
The 3rds lost 1-0 at home to Deal in Division 2
