Premier Division leaders Castle Colts were stunned 5-3 by Star United on Sunday.

Despite a Sam Carter hattrick for Castle, it was Star who came out on top with striker Rob Jacobs netting twice and further goals from Connor Parks, Paul Meredith and winger Pedro Almeida to leave United within striking distance of the top.

Aylesford continued their fine form with a 3-1 home win over Hollingbourne, who missed the opportunity to go top.

Goals came from Tom Malins, winger Andy Parker and a superb effort by man-ofthe-match James Church while Curtis Buckingham grabbed a consolation for Bourne.

East Malling defeated Kings Head 4-1 in a game which was tight until the last 10 minutes.

Malling went ahead through Dean Fincham, but the game was level at the break when a poor pass from Fincham allowed Kings Head to break and Daniel Macabe conceded a penalty which was converted by Jake Horgan.

The second half saw Malling introduce Perry Ponting into midfield and start to gain the upper hand and Mark Hughes cut inside to strike into the bottom corner on 60 minutes.

Kevin Swaiseland made the points safe when he broke clear to round the keeper and make it 3-1 late on, though there was still time for midfielder Franco Minieri to add a fourth and

In Division 1, Fishermans Arms continued their 100% start to the season with a 6-5 win at Weavering.

The Fish were inspired by Miles Cornwell who outpaced the Weavering defence, running the hosts ragged at the back.

Whitehawks look set to challenge for the title after another classy performance saw them defeat Maidstone International 5-2 away from home, with Dale Davis netting twice, and Enochs, Scrivener and Jordan Mallet completing the scoring.

Tonight (Friday, 7.30pm) Hawks take on a Maidstone United XI at the Gallagher Stadium to raise funds for manager Paul Gallihawk, who tragically lost his life at the start of the season while competing in his first triathlon.
