Jack’s hair deal!
THE CORRIE STAR OPENS UP ABOUT HIS RECENT TRANSPLANT…
The National Television Awards is the perfect event to show off a brand-new you, with a brand-new do – and Corrie’s
Jack P Shepherd (David) did just that at the event held at London’s O2 Arena.
After recently undergoing a hair transplant at Crown Clinic in Manchester – where 3,000 hairs were implanted during the procedure – Jack shared his agony at seeing himself on TV and noticing his thinning hair.
“I could see the difference when I watched myself on screen, and in a lift mirror,” explained the star. “A few of the make-up girls at Corrie suggested I should have a transplant, and I talked it through with people at work. The hair loss has definitely accelerated in the past year. I’ve had a few personal issues off-screen, which have been stressful and I’m also an insomniac, which just adds to my stress levels. No one likes to lose their hair, and hopefully I can make a real difference to my appearance, as I’m losing it at the front, where it’s noticed most.” Wishing to have more fun with his hair, noticeably sporting an Elvis-style quiff on the red carpet at the award ceremony, Jack added: “I’ve been working around adults since I was 10, so I’ve always felt really old – as if I was about 80 years of age! I wouldn’t say that I was vain, but I just want to be able to do what I want with my hair. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when the transplanted hair is fully grown in a year’s time.”
