Working with your images
We have seen how easy it is to place images into Pages projects, but now we are going to look at some of the more advanced features that you can employ to really make them stand out, including borders and shadows. As always, the paintbrush icon is your friend here as it provides a gateway to the ‘Style’ tab of options where these cool effects can be found. Let’s make those images scream!
1 Placing images
If you have a downloaded image in your Photos app that you want to import, tap on the ‘+’ icon and then select the Photos tab (far-right). Select the image to import it
2 Drag to position
If you want to position the image on a different page, just press, hold and drag it to the top of the screen and you will cycle through the various pages of your project.
3 Adjusting mask
If your image obscures other page items, select the object (in this case the line), tap on the paintbrush icon, then ‘Arrange’ and then adjust the ‘Move to’ slider.
4 Adding borders
Borders can help make an image more eye-catching. Select the image then tap the paintbrush icon, go to ‘Style’, turn on the border option and tap ‘Style’ to pick one.
5 Colour and width
After picking a border style you can use the ‘Colour’ and ‘Width’ options to make the border stand out more. Try experimenting to see what works best with your project.
