New faces for NHS body

-

A DOCTOR from Ratby has joined the organisation which oversees the planning and purchasing of health services for borough residents.

Dr James Ogle is a new member of the governing body of the West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

Dr Ogle, 32, has been working as GP in Hinckley and Bosworth for two years and is the senior partner at Ratby Surgery.

Until recently he was involved in healthcare development through his work with the Hinckley and Bosworth Medical Alliance.

He replaces Hinckleybased GP Dr Nick Wilmott who is retiring.

Dr Ogle said: “I’ve been working with the CCG on local health care issues for patients in Hinckley and West Leicestershire for the last 18 months through the Hinckley and Bosworth Medical Alliance.

“Through my work for the CCG I want to continue Dr Willmott’s hard work on developing community and urgent care services and also to continue to look at and develop services for our patients in their area.”

Dr Nil Sanganee, aged 40, a GP in Ashby-de-leZouche, has also joined the CCG.

He and Dr Ogle will be on the board for the next two years, replacing Dr Liz Hepplewhite from Whitwick Health Centre in Coalville and Dr Willmott from Castle Mead Medical Group in Hinckley.

Both men will also be continuing in their roles in their GP practices in the borough.

Professor Mayur Lakhani, chairman of the CCG, thanked the outgoing doctors for their work in making a difference to the care of patients across the area and said he was sure the two new members would be assets to the team.
