Kylie wants to be the next Beyoncé

Rise and shine! She’s headed for pop stardom

- CHARLOTTE OLIVER

Who else can remember Kim Kardashian’s short-lived pop career, which came and went in 2011 with her underrated banger Jam (Turn It Up)? No? Just us? Well, it turns out that Kim’s not the only musical prodigy of the family. Last week, we were bowled over by Kylie Jenner and her singing skills, which she showcased to glistening effect as she sang to her one-year-old daughter Stormi on her Youtube account.

Sure, the 22 year old only warbled three words, “Rise and shine,” but it was enough. The clip went viral, celebs lined up to collab with Kylie, and now, we’re told, she’s plotting her pop career.

“Kylie does have a certain raw talent,” says an insider close to the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. “When she revealed that she could carry a tune, producers were beating down her door. They’re filling her head with plans to make her more famous than her exes [rappers Tyga and Travis Scott] and even Kanye West. Kylie loves the idea of becoming a pop star, and she’s considering all offers coming her way. Ideally, she’d like to follow in Beyoncé’s footsteps.”

Honestly, just when we thought that the Kardashians couldn’t possibly do any more to impress us – posing and pouting (and doing both things at the same time) is enough – they’ve done it again. Sure, some might say we’re over-reacting, but our source is right – there’s no point in arguing with raw talent.

Who else reckons that Kylie’s a dead cert to headline Glastonbury? ■
