Caz Flack is keeping it real when it comes to her nuptials

The presenter is down for a low-key do

Her surprise engagement has attracted its fair share of sceptics, but is Caroline Flack remotely bothered? No. Despite incessant warnings about her “player” fiancé Andrew Brady, the 38 year old has never been happier and believes she has finally found herself a “good lad”. In fact, according to the Love Island presenter, she’s “never had this feeling before”.

In an exclusive interview, Caroline also reveals that she’s the anti-bridezilla, and that the big day is likely to be a low-key affair. “I think he’s going to let me plan it, which is good,” she confesses. “But I can’t even plan a flight. I’m terrible at everything, so it’s going to be an unorganised wedding. I think it’s only going to be close family and friends, probably in a pub somewhere.”

Meanwhile, the well-known party girl had more exacting thoughts about the hen do. “It has to be out of the country somewhere, that’s for sure,” she says. “My sister is going to be my maid of fun – that’s the only thing I’ve decided.” Earlier this month, former Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother star Andrew, 27, proposed to Caroline after only three months of dating. Their

short union hasn’t been without its drama, however – it was reported that he’d cheated on her during a nightclub PA, and they’ve kept fans guessing with

their on/off status. But then Andrew went and put a ring on it – something Caroline recently said was “totally out of the blue”.

“I had no idea he was planning on asking me to marry him,” she has revealed. “But I knew things felt different in the lead-up. From the first date with Andrew, I felt as though I’d known him for years. My mum says we seem like best mates, and that’s all I want.”

Then, of course, there’s the question of Andrew’s motivation, with Caroline at one point said to be worried he was in it for the fame. In fact, earlier this month, his former Apprentice co-star Charles Burns told heat that Andrew is “smart and calculated”, and had his eyes set on “becoming a celebrity”.

But Caroline remains unfussed by the criticism. “This is my life. I’ve got one shot at it and

I’m happy – that’s all that matters,” she has said. “I don’t read people’s opinion online because if you believe the good, then you must believe the bad, so I choose not to believe any of it. I know what’s in my heart. Let’s all just enjoy life rather than bringing people down.”

Meanwhile, the TV favourite is looking ahead to the new season of Love Island, which kicks off in just a few weeks. “I’m thinking about Love Island before thinking about the wedding,” she confesses. “This is actually the first time since I’ve been presenting the show that I’ve actually been in a relationship, which is nice. My advice to the new islanders is that they need to be prepared to come out, and for people to know who they are. They can’t go in there going, ‘I don’t really care about fame.’ It’s a given now. You go on [the show] and your life is going to change.” ■
