POSH’S HOLIDAY RULES FOR DAVID
VB is planning the perfect summer break
As the Beckhams gear up for their annual summer trip to LA (it really is a tough life they lead), heat has learned that Victoria will be laying down some ground rules to ensure they have a proper family holiday and don’t succumb to too many work commitments. And it’s David who most of them are aimed at, as after a busy few months, Posh knows how important it is for them to have as much quality time together as possible.
“Spending the summer at their place in Los Angeles is always one of Vic’s highlights of the year and she’s determined for this year to be no different,” our Beckham insider tells us. “So, she’s set out a few rules for David, which include keeping phone calls and business talk to a minimum, no last-minute trips away or meetings, and spending as much time as possible with the family. With Brooklyn off to college in September, she wants them to have a summer they won’t forget.”
We’re told fashion designer Victoria has already cleared most of her schedule for the next couple of months, so once the kids – Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12, and six-year-old Harper – have all finished school, they can fly out and start to relax.
Despite retiring from football three years ago, David, 42, has been extremely busy with his various ventures, and in the past six weeks has been on work trips to France, Switzerland and Thailand. He also has the added stress of trying to get his dream of owning his own football team in Miami off the ground. Consequently, Posh thinks it’s even more important for him to chill out when he’s in LA.
“Vic knows how hard David’s been working lately, so she wants him to switch off as much as possible in California,” our source continues. “They’ll be doing the usual stuff like family trips to Soulcycle, hiking, basketball games, surfing, meals out and hanging by the pool at home.”
With all that planned, we can’t understand why David would even want to go near his phone, except to upload a few sexy, brooding selfies to Instagram (please).
