Strictly’s Giovanni heading to town
Strictly Come Dancing’s star Giovanni Pernice is all set to take to the stage in Hamilton later this spring.
Giovanni Pernice and his professional dance team and singer will head to Hamilton Town House on Thursday, May 11.
Ahead of his `Il ballo è vita’ tour Giovanni talks about where the inspiration came from for his show.
He said: “`Il ballo e vita’ translates to `Dance is Life’ and is a saying that I have always believed in.
“Dance is something I have wanted to do all my life so this is where the inspiration for the show came from.”
Giovanni added: “The show is not just a dance and talk show but a beautiful story, taking place in a Sicilian café with amazing worldclass dancers.
“The show is different from every other dance show – not only will the audience get an insight into what I am really like, but also it tells a wonderful story of love and life. I am dancing with the amazing Luba Musktuk, plus we have three more professional couples from the world of dance.”
Not just another dance and talk show, this has a classy narrative which exudes love and passion.
The tour takes in over 25 UK cities and towns and runs from the end of April to the end of July.
Giovanni was the new kid last year on Strictly.
He started his Strictly career with a bang, reaching the final in 2015 with his partner, Coronation Street actor Georgia May Foote.
Their Charleston got a clean sweep of tens, but ultimately the win went to Jay Mcguiness and Aliona Vilani.
Giovanni was partnered this year with presenter Laura Whitmore.
The couple made it through to round seven only to be voted off the BBC One show, after judges voted unanimously to send her home, following a bottom two dance-off against Ore Oduba.
Giovanni who has a tattoo with `Nato Per Vincere’ meaning `Born to Win’ written on his arm, hopes to win Strictly next year. He said: “I will try my best. “I’m very competitive so always give it my all.”
