The couple

Nicola, from Motherwell, works as a music teacher with North Lanarkshire Council. Groom Niall Mckenzie, from Motherwell, is an electronic engineer with the NHS.

Where they met

Niall and Nicola have known each other since childhood when they attended the same church.

The wedding

The ceremony was held at Motherwell South Church on Sunday, July 3, 2016. Their reception, at Airth Castle, was attended by 100 family and friends.

Attire

The bride wore Theresa by Romantica, while the groom wore Mckenzie muted tartan from Macgregor & Macduff. Ushers wore Lomond Mist tartan.

Bridal party

Bridesmaids were Gemma Burns and Cairn Robertson, best man was Fraser Mckenzie and ushers were Christopher Irvine, Craig Lewis and Stuart Boyd.

Honeymoon

The newlyweds travelled to the Maldives, Singapore and Hong Kong for their honeymoon.
