Class act as schools given Accies tickets

50 tickets for games

- Andy Mcgilvray

Hamilton Accies will take on teams like St Johnstone, Inverness and Aberdeen in the Ladbrokes SPFL Premiership – and kids can get to see the game for free.

The club’s main sponsors, Superseal, are offering 50 free tickets for every home game to be distributed to primary and secondary schools in South Lanarkshire.

Neilsland Primary, in Hamilton, were the first to take part in the scheme, witnessing Hamilton’s 1-0 win over Ross County at the Superseal Stadium.

Superseal director Kenny Webster said: “Superseal are the main partner of Hamilton Academical, we share the same values as the club – supporting local, family-based initiatives.

“We are donating 50 complimentary tickets for every home game, to be distribute to primary and secondary schools in South Lanarkshire.

“There is no catch, it’s completely free to the school.

“The scheme enables children to experience live Premiership football, the club to nurture fans of the future, and allows Superseal to build brand awareness for our products and services.

“How it works is we deliver up to 50 tickets to your school. How you distribute the tickets is entirely up to you – all we require are the contact details of the children’s parents or family, who have been assigned the tickets.”

Hamilton take on St Johnstone on Sunday, September 25, Inverness on Saturday, October 1, Aberdeen on Wednesday, October 26, and Dundee on Saturday, October 29.

There are obviously several more games throughout the season, but schools can apply now for tickets for these games.

A Superseal spokesperson said: “In addition to working closely with schools in South Lanarkshire, we have extended the offer to youth football clubs in the area.

“East Kilbride Burgh United will take the allocation for the Inverness match on October 1, and the 50 tickets are still available for the next match against St Johnstone on Sunday, September 25.

If this is of interest, call Superseal on 0141 883 5356 or email paul.murphy@supersealltd. co.uk.

The application process must be completed by a school employee.
