Class of ‘85 reunion and fundraiser

The Brooksbank School, Elland, class of 1985 - who are all aged 46 now - reunited for the first time at a special charity event. Organised by former pupils Deborah Love, John Sheard and Paul Gibbons, the 1980s-themed evening held at The Fleece Inn, Elland, saw more than 100 former pupils come together to reminisce about the school days they shared as well as fundraise, more than £400, for Overgate Hospice and Shane’s Cause - to send a former pupil’s son, who has the condition muscular dystrophy, on the holiday of a lifetime. Deborah said: “It was an amazing evening.”
