3 LOYALTY CARDS worth having

-

Purse stuffed with store loyalty cards? It might be time for a clear-out! Although every store seems to run a reward scheme these days, how your allegiance to a retailer is rewarded can vary enormously. We’ve done some research and found three cards with the best rewards. BOOTS What you earn

Four points per £1 spent. What you get back 1p to spend for every point earned. Spend £100 to earn £4 in points.

Why we like it You can use points to get money off at the till instead of having to convert your points into vouchers first. However, you need to earn enough points to pay for an item in full rather than putting them towards a purchase.

BOOST IT…

 Download the app for bonus points and discounts.  Over 60? Join the Boots Over 60s club for more discounts and earn 10 points for every pound instead of the standard four.  Parents of children aged three and under can earn 10 points to the pound on all baby products.

 Take advantage of ‘triple points’ events at various times throughout the year.  Keep an eye out for bonus vouchers in the post that give you double points and additional points on selected products.

TESCO What you earn

One point per £1 spent.

What you get back

£1 to spend for every 100 Clubcard points earned (you need 150 points before you can convert them into vouchers).

Spend £100 to earn

£1 in points.

Why we like it You can collect points on fuel at Tesco petrol stations (one point for every £2 spent), with Tesco Mobile and with a Tesco Bank credit card or bank account. You can spend vouchers on days out, eating out, travel, a trip to the cinema and magazine subscriptions!

BOOST IT…

 Vouchers are worth three times their value if you spend them with Tesco reward partners.  Take surveys on the Tesco Clubcard website to earn extra points.

 Look for bonus vouchers in the post.

CAFFÈ NERO What you earn

One stamp for every handmade drink you purchase, regardless of the value.

What you get back

A free handmade drink once you’ve bought nine.

Why we like it It may take time to earn your free drink, but if you’re a regular customer, you may as well reap the benefits. You’ll get a stamp on a physical card or via the Caffè Nero app.

BOOST IT…

 Go green! Ask for your hot drink in your own reusable cup to get two loyalty stamps instead of one.  Use the Caffè Nero app for bonus points and freebies, such as free coffee for a friend or a free

pastry.
