RETURNS... CELTICONEBYONE Sami a hero from start to finish...

Moment to bring big time back to club

- By ALISON MCCONNELL

this season, the players he already has under his spreading wing deserve to be given a chance to show what they can do in the group stage.

Lennon might be more concerned that the likes of Wanyama will become an even bigger target for unwanted predators as he continues to show his quality at this level.

Celtic know they will be up against serious opposition in the group stage as they will be placed in the bottom pot for today’s draw.

But for the first time in four years they have collected a ticket to the party, so, who cares? FORSTER (7) One impressive stop from a Jere Uronen free-kick just after the break but never overly troubled. MATTHEWS (7) Booked near the break but was steady throughout. A disciplined performance from the Welsh internationalist. MULGREW (7) A reasonably comfortable evening for the defender who was assured and composed. WILSON (8) One of the most comfortable displays he has had for Celtic. Commanded his area well and imposed himself throughout. IZAGUIRRE (7) Floored by a wild tackle from David Accam on the hour mark, but still to hit the heights of which he is capable. FORREST (7) Clipped in the box in the first half by Joseph Baffo, although his momentum by then was taking him down. His trickery opened things up for Celtic and he was unlucky to see a late shot bounce off a post. WANYAMA (8) A formidable force for Celtic in the middle. Had missed the first leg due to suspension but his late goal was just reward for his overall contribution. BROWN (7) Put in a solid shift in midfield as Celtic took control as the game wore on. SAMARAS (8) Got the crowd on their feet with one run that drew a decent stop from keeper Hansson and another attempt that the keeper tipped onto the crossbar. The resultant corner led to Celtic’s opener in which the Greek played his part again by rolling ball into Hooper’s path. Impressive. COMMONS (7) Started up front with Hooper and worked tirelessly. Often found breaking up the play, tackling well and encouraging those around him. Got in the cross for Wanyama’s goal. HOOPER (7) Scored the goal that settled all the nerves, although there were protests for offside from the Helsingborg players. WATT (5) Took over from Samaras with 20 minutes to go. Did well with a couple of nice touches and came close to setting up Hooper. LUSTIG (4) Came on for Matthews as Celtic closed the tie down and saw the game out. McCOURT (2) Replaced Hooper with just minutes to go but little chance to make an impression.
