DERBY CATHEDRAL SCHOOL TO RELOCATE TO BRAND NEW SITE IN 2021

The school is also hosting a virtual open event this autumn for prospective students and families

-

Located in the city centre, Derby Cathedral School is the city's first Church of England co-educational 11-19 secondary school, including a sixth form. The school's new site on Great Northern Road is currently in the midst of construction and is on course to be completed in 2021.

The Year 7s joining the school in September 2021 will have their first experience at DCS in the brand new, state of the art facilities at the new site, alongside current staff and students who will be relocating from their present home at Midland House.

Virtual open event

To keep staff, students and prospective families safe, Derby Cathedral School will be hosting its annual open days online this year.

The school is inviting the parents or carers of Year 6 pupils to see the school and meet the staff via a virtual open event hosted on its website.

All information usually given on open days will be available as an online virtual viewing hub, with a series of open day videos also able to view soon. It is an ideal opportunity to check out the brilliant facilities that currently are available, and will be on the new site; meet staff and current students; and find out what else the school has to offer.

While the current Years 7, 8 and 9 are fully subscribed, there are places available for the Year 7 intake in September 2021. Builders have made great progress on the school's new site over the summer
