‘Smutty’ Eurovision just not suitable for children

-

❑ I’ve been watching Eurovision since the 60s and never ever witnessed so much smut as I did on Saturday’s show. I even had to switch channels because we had our grandchildren round. Wendy H.

❑ Can you imagine Terry Wogans comments on modern day Eurovision? They’d be hilarious. LEO F.

❑ Just how crude was Eurovision? {Especially the UK entry} We had to switch over because we were looking after our young impressionable grandchildren. Carol F.

❑ And there was myself and my family thinking that saturday night tv is family oriented. And then along comes Eurovision. What a disgrace! Alex T.

❑ Euro winner wot a surprise! Not enough rock acts. Well, it really doesnt focus on real music. anon

❑ so all these protesters calling what is happening in Gaza Genocide by Israel .. yet calling for Israel to be destroyed.. isn’t that also Genocide? jellyhead

❑ Where are these millions of jobs that seemingly no one wants?? A hardworking, consciencous student has applied for dozens of unskillf jobs part time.. no joy...most employers don’t even reply to the applications. Most look for experience for shelf filling, making beds in hotels etc. If employers won’t give young people a chance to prove they are capable and keen to work then how the hell are said young folk going to ever get a job?? Mac

❑ Protests are a right of passage for most young people and occasionally much older people as with the two women, aged 82 and 85, who are now charged over a

Magna Carta protest in London. The protest was basically an attempt to get access to the Magna Carta with a hammer and chisel, a potentially destructive approach. Often, and regrettably, protests are dangerous but why should they be destructive? The latest approach seems to involve throwing paint at some of the most culturally important paintings or glueing yourself to them. Yes, it will get coverage but not always the support they want. Protests are vital for many reasons but they must be for a positive reason, and conducted in a positive manner. Dennis Fitzgerald

❑ The just stop oil bores in their 80’s causing criminal damage to the glass around the magna carta should be made an example of and jailed for life. Dave from coppull

❑ Hi folks, re our text about administration fee on our car insurance, we actually said it was up from £25 to £40 and not £5 to £40 as you misquoted, thanks. Stewart & Geoff, Co.Durham.

❑ Stewart and Geoff County Durham I have just renewed my car insurance. Like you ‘admin fee’ is mentioned. My insurance was up £60 Some are horrendous. The fee is the fee but phrases fly around like ‘we’ve already discounted your ADMIN FEE by 50%.’ They may hope it contains / restricts expected requests for discount. On top there is optional legal fee cover. At 71 I remember when your no claims bonus went up year by year your renewal prem came down NOT NOW. Details for alternative quotes are a faffe so luckily my co is good. Brian Linford Pontefract

❑ All the adverts on the TV About safe Gambling make me laugh. Its like asking a Turkey to vote for xmas. If every one gambled sensible they would soon be skint like the punters. SE9 STEVE

❑ Is there anyone out there who can crack open an egg without having to remove pieces of shell? Just asking. HAZ
