STAR Trek veteran William wants to boldly go and be buried on planet Earth so his body can become a California­n redwood when he dies. He said: “This way you use the atoms of your body to nourish something living. I love it. I want to be a tree.”

AUSTRALIAN singer Peter says he wants to be cryogenica­lly frozen when he dies. In a column for New! magazine earlier this year he wrote: “The thing that has always appealed to me, just purely out of curiosity, is being cryogenica­lly frozen. There is something about it that sounds so cool.”

Paris Hilton

THE American socialite has also expressed an interest in being frozen after death. In 2010 it was reported in US news outlets that she had signed herself and her dogs up to be frozen at the Cryonics Institute in Michigan. Dennis Kowalski, the organisati­on’s president, also said they had billionair­es and Hollywood celebs on their books – as well as more than 100 pets.

IN 2010 the actor bought two plots in the New Orleans St. Louis Cemetery No.1, the final resting place of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau. On one of the plots, he has had a 9ft pyramid tomb constructe­d that bears the Latin inscriptio­n “Omnia Ab Uno,” which translates to “Everything From One”.

HE revealed he was “investigat­ing the possibilit­y of being mummified” when he’s dead and fancies having his body preserved like 19th Century philosophe­r Jeremy Bentham, who is on display at University College London. He quipped: “My wife occasional­ly tells me to get stuffed. Eventually I will be!’’

THE Mean Girls star is also known for her environmen­tal activism and reportedly fancies being “made into a reef” when she dies. She said: “I was reading that they can make your remains into a reef and put you in the ocean and the fish can feed off you. I want to go back into the earth the same way I came.”

Rod Stewart

FOOTBALL fan Stewart has stated that he wants to be cremated and have his ashes scattered at either Celtic Park, or failing that Scotland’s national football stadium Hampden Park.

He said: “That would be amazing” but added “if not that I don’t care – you can flush my ashes down the toilet”.
