Beeb is still the best for football
❑ Despite the BBC showing rubbish programmes, they always rise to the top when presenting live football. Their main weapon is they discuss the action head-on and cover all aspects. ITV have to please the advertisers first before they can make a comment. Why they have Roy Keane on baffles me. As for big names, Gary Lineker and co will always be one step ahead of their rivals. Cut down the number of advert breaks and people may watch it. Mal the claret
❑ Really bad BBC TV is totally all about football. Taken over by commentators who just waffle making stupid comments etc (tough if you don’t like football). But at least look on the bright side at least Eastenders isn’t on. But this is the BBC, they will probably run back-to-back episodes to catch up. Then they talk about top quality dramas on TV. ❑ ITV is getting as bad as the BBC, never seen so many depressing programs & adverts. This country needs cheering up not being put on a downer day in day out. TOM BOLA

❑ the television was better in the old days when we only had 3 channels. There was usually allways something worth watching. Now with freeview we have over 50 channels and nothing decent to watch. Think I’ll start reading books.
