RED Dwarf robot Kryten originally had a Swedish accent.

Actor Robert Llewellyn tried out various voices for the space-age character.

And he thought it would be funny if he sounded like the Swedish Chef from the Muppets, right. Robert said: “We tried a few accents and there was definitely Swedish.

It was a bit like the Swedish Chef. But now I think: ‘Imagine hearing that for 31 years?’ It would drive you mad.” He spills the beans on Red Dwarf: The First Three Million Years on Dave at 9pm on Thursday.

COMEDIAN Jimmy Carr famously made headlines when he was caught out using a tax avoidance scheme.

He was ordered to pay almost £1million back to Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs as a result.

So when he was asked to appear on ITV’S new game show Rolling In It, the irony did not go unnoticed.

Jimmy will be seen pushing large coins into slots to bag cash prizes of £1,000 to £5,000 for a contestant.

However one of the slots marked Bankrupt and when the unlucky comic hits it, host Stephen

Mulhern quips:

“You’re bankrupt.”

Poking fun at his embarrassing past, Jimmy jokes: “It’s like the time HMRC called me!”

In 2012, Carr issued a public apology when it came to light that he been using an offshore scheme.

He said: “I met with a financial advisor and he said to me: ‘Do you want to pay less tax? It’s totally legal.’ I said ‘yes’ and I now realise I’ve made a terrible error of judgment.

“Although I’ve been advised the K2 tax scheme is entirely legal, I’m no longer involved in it. Apologies to everyone.”

Rolling In It starts on Saturday at 6.25pm on ITV. is
