BT’S bidding for your TV

-

BT might be famed for its broadband but now it wants to take over your television as well.

The Sky and Virgin Media rival is promising a more flexible way of giving customers the freedom to choose what they do and don’t want to pay for each month.

Along with all the usual channels, BT is even offering this pick and mix-style TV on services such as Sky Sports and Sky Cinema.

Those who subscribe can instantly upgrade or downgrade their package.

So when the Premier League comes to an end you simply turn off Sky Sports without fear of any extra charges.

To make things more enticing, all of the packages arrive with a BT TV box for integrated search, pause, rewind and record functionality. And this device can also access Netflix and Amazon Prime, meaning all of your favourite shows are available in one place. Prices for the basic bundle start from £10 per month and rise to £60.

BT says its new 24-month flexible TV packages will be launched tomorrow together with a selection of content bolt-ons.

Speaking about the update Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s consumer division, said: “Our new range of TV packs bring together the best premium services, fully loaded with a wide range of award-winning shows, the best live sports in stunning 4K and the latest must-see films – all with the flexibility to change packs every month.”

To celebrate, BT is running an offer which includes BT Superfast Fibre and the new Entertainment package including Sky Atlantic and Sky One from just £37.99 per month. ●

THERE’S also good news for all TV and broadband customers. New rules mean your supplier must tell you when your current deal is coming to an end.
