TWO people have been jailed for illegally accessing video footage of footballer Emiliano Sala’s body in a mortuary.

CCTV company director Sherry Bray, 49, and employee Christopher Ashford, 62, viewed his postmortem, Swindon Crown Court heard. Sala, 28, right, died in a plane crash this year.

Bray, of Corsham, Wilts, was jailed for 14 months. Ashford, from nearby Calne, got five months. ENGLAND skipper Harry Kane needs to rally white players in the fight against racists, according to a former Premier League ace.

Ex-Watford and Wimbledon striker Marcus Gayle says the Spurs ace holds the key.

He said: “It’s not just black players talking out.

“We need senior white players talking out, we need that support.

“We need a Harry Kane, captain of the country, showing his supply line, young Sterling, young Sancho, if they decide we ain’t playing, who sets up Harry Kane?”

Gayle, right, believes racism in football is worse than when he was playing in the 1990s, before social media. He said players today have nowhere to hide from vile online ghouls.

Speaking at Labour’s party conference in Brighton, Gayle said: “We’re here in 2019, and I think the problem is worse now.

“With social media, everyone feels like they have an opinion, but that doesn’t mean you have to put it out on a public platform.

“You’ll soon get players coming off social media, and they won’t interact. Players are going to stop about ■ from ALEXANDER BROWN in Brighton

playing the game they love. They’ll just walk away. It’s a constant battle, we need to come together, we need more to be done.”

And he praised England manager Gareth Southgate for acting as a role model.

He said: “He never ducks question. That’s a positive, that helps support players going through these times.” Campaign group Kick It Out’s Troy Townsend also lashed out at social media trolls. He said: “We have a new generation of people, a generation that hide, and a generation that love a keyboard. Social media has changed things.” Shadow Sport Minister Dr Rosena Allin-Khan supported the call to end racism in football. She said: “The time for action is now. We cannot go on any longer and allow our players to be treated the way that they are.

“It is horrific and it’s there on social media.”

MANCHESTER United fans want to bring back terraces at Old Trafford.

The Supporters Trust hopes the club will install rail seats, which are widely used in Germany, with a safety barrier in front.

They said: “We believe it will likely benefit atmosphere but also enhance safety where fans persistently stand.”

A United source said it was considering the move. ★

Top-tier clubs have had to have all-seater stadiums by law since the 1989 Hillsborough tragedy.

But the FA and Premier League agree that terraces could be re-introduced.
