STALKER KILLER’S EX: I ALERTED COPS 3 TIMES

‘He needed jailing but they did nothing’

A STALKER was reported to police three times before turning killer.

Joshua Stimpson was caged this week for slashing his exlover’s throat.

But former girlfriend Alexandra Dale told yesterday how the monster made her life hell and said: “He needed locking up.”

She revealed how as well as stalking her, he slashed her car tyres and threatened to drown her in a swimming pool.

“I was lucky to get away from him,” said Alexandra, 25, “I’m mortified.

“This twisted f*** made my life hell and the police were informed – yet did nothing about it.”

Warehouse worker Stimpson, 26, stabbed 23-year-old university student Molly McLaren 75 times at a retail park in Chatham, Kent, last summer.

Dumped

Molly, who had dumped him, twice warned police that he was a danger in the weeks before he killed her.

Alexandra, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffs, met Stimpson on Facebook three years before he started seeing Molly.

He would call her 25 times a day, follow her on nights out and once sent her a photograph of her back garden – despite her never taking him to her home.

She said: “He needed locking up when I reported him. That’s what has made me angry.”

Another former girlfriend Leah Hubbard branded him “her stalker” when he weirdly watched her during a night out after they had broken up. Stimpson met Kent University student Molly on Tinder three years later.

Cowardly

He showed no remorse at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday when he was jailed for a minimum 26 years behind bars for the “cruel, calculated and cowardly” murder of Molly.

Sentencing him, Judge Adele Williams said: “You are a highly dangerous young man and you will pose a very considerabe risk to women for a very considerable period in the future.”

It emerged Molly twice reported Stimpson to Kent Police for stalking her while Alexandra complained to Staffordshire Police.

Investigations into how both forces dealt with the women’s complaints are now underway.

Molly’s shattered family has called for a greater awareness of the dangers of stalking.
