He’s a really cool guy – a bit of a lad. He’s a romantic at heart.” Louis, back with new single Miss You, has become a bit of an aristocratic favourite after singing for his brother at the Royal Variety show.

And Louis would love an invite to next year’s wedding: “I might be free, so keep me in mind.

“Maybe we’ll treat the Royal Variety as an audition, it’s always an honour meeting Will and Kate. Super nerve-racking because you can hear a pin drop in the room, it’s not exactly a party.”

Fans will get to see Louis return to the X Factor this weekend. He said: “I always feel good about myself going back to be honest.”

The Doncaster lad is backing Kevin to win: “He brings musicality to the show, seeing him play guitar, the song choices – it’s a cool tone for X Factor.

Louis won’t be offering advice though: “I find that difficult I just try and blag it.

“Find four idiots, make a band and you might do all right!”

He says that Miss You, out now, is a “good advert” for his debut solo album scheduled to arrive next year.

He revealed: “I definitely want more guitars in general, a more organic sound.

“Miss You translates well live, and I’m definitely going to tour, we’re just finalising that now.”
