MADNESS legend Suggs can add movie star to his list of accolades.
The Baggy Trousers singer embarked on a stand-up show telling his life story last year. Now the show is coming to the silver screen. Suggs told me: “It’s called My Life Story and follows me on the road, but it’s also interspersed with some dramatised sections. “It’s looking pretty good. I couldn’t see myself in Hollywood – more like Holloway.” New live dates for Suggs: What a King Cnut kick off in Swindon in January to coincide with the movie’s release. There’s also been whispers of a biopic telling the Madness story, but Suggs added: “It’s just a rumour that’s been going around, but there’s definitely a story to be told there.”
There’s no Madness Christmas tour this year but a new Best Of called Full House arrives next month.
And Suggs will also be delivering his own nuggets of wisdom on new TV show WW2 Treasure Hunters.
He explained: “There’s been loads of reality stuff I’ve been offered, but I didn’t fancy eating worms for six months.
“This is a great mix of archaeology and history. So there’ll be experts talking about this stuff and I’ll wander in asking stupid questions.” ¬Ê
WW2 Treasure Hunters premieres on HISTORY from October 9 at 9pm on Sky 529, Virgin 270, BT 327 and TalkTalk 327.
