Ice screams as TV studio is haunted
GEORDIE lass Donna Air has rekindled her romance with James Middleton, we can reveal.
The pair, left, split last October but have now got back together.
James, the brother of the Duchess of Cambridge, has been supporting Donna as she competes on Dancing On Ice. Fans speculated they were dating after he was spotted in the studio audience last weekend. A source close to them last night confirmed they are now a couple again. They said:
DANCING On Ice’s new studio is being haunted by a “creepy presence”.
The show has moved to a base at Bovingdon Airfield in Hemel Hempstead, Herts, for the latest series.
A number of unexplained incidents have occurred on the site over the years.
And experts believe they could be linked to the ghosts of US airmen who were stationed there.
So many visitors to the area, which contains derelict buildings, inset, have been spooked that it has even been investigated by the International Paranormal Society.
Several people say they have been left terrified by “mysterious mist”.
One source said: “The mist has been seen by several people.
They say it suddenly appears and is so thick you can’t see through it.
“One person is rumoured to have seen it late at night on the runway.
“Some friends of his were waiting in a car six metres away and they said it followed him. It was engulfing him.
“In another incident, one driver saw another vehicle get engulfed in the mist.”
Dog walkers claim a “presence” has made their pets howl and try to run away.
Some visitors have heard the sound of aircraft and Morse code on the site. Others said they experienced a strange smell similar to bubblegum.
There have been rumours that the US Air Force left some vehicles abandoned in an underground chamber at the airfield.
Dancing On Ice has taken up residence at Bovingdon after being revived by ITV.
It was brought back with a revamped format and purpose-built rink at the studio after four years off screen. Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill are now on the judging panel alongside Jason Gardiner.
A show insider said: “It’s likely many of the contestants and professional skaters have no idea they are performing somewhere that’s rumoured to be haunted.
“If the claims are to believed there’s a good chance something could happen during rehearsals or even while the show is on air.”
This year’s line-up includes Bucks Fizz singer Cheryl Baker and Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring.
Bookies Paddy Power last night had rugby hunk Max Evans as the favourite to win with odds of 9/4.
Dancing on Ice continues at 6pm tonight on ITV.
