I do know where the skeletons are.. I was the one who buried them MICHAEL COHEN FORMER LAWYER OF US PRESIDENT

DONALD Trump’s ex-lawyer claims he witnessed “sex acts in Vegas, tax fraud and a secret back channel to Putin” while with the president.

The bombshell allegations are made by Michael Cohen in upcoming book Disloyal, in which he calls his old boss “a cheat, a liar, a fraud, a bully, a racist, a predator, a con man”.

The claims added to a bad day for Trump, who made an emergency dash to New York to visit his “very ill” brother Robert, 72, in hospital.

The nature of his illness has not been disclosed but in June, Robert was reported to have spent at least 10 days in the neurosciences intensive care unit of Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. Before his hospital visit, the president was dealing with the fallout of Cohen’s claims.

In the foreword for his memoir, Cohen, 53, said: “Trump had colluded with the Russians but not in the sophisticated ways imagined by his detractors” and, “Cheated in the election, with Russian connivance, as you will discover in these pages – because doing anything to ‘win’ has always been his business model and way of life. “When Trump wanted to reach Russian president Vladimir Putin, via a secret back channel, I was tasked with making the connection.” He adds: “I stiffed contractors on his behalf, ripped off his business partners, lied to his wife Melania to hide his sexual infidelities and bullied anyone who threatened his path to power.

“From [sex acts] in Vegas to tax fraud, to deals with corrupt officials from the former Soviet Union, to catch-and-kill conspiracies to silencing Trump’s clandestine lovers, I wasn’t just a witness to the president’s rise – I was an active participant. I know where the skeletons are buried because I was the one who buried them.”

In a warning ahead of November’s election, Cohen added: “I see Trump’s followers threatening the constitution and following one of the worst impulses of humankind – the desire for power at all costs.”

Cohen pled guilty in 2018 to multiple crimes, including lying to Congress and facilitating illegal payments to silence two women – porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal – who claimed they had affairs with Trump.

He was released in May over Covid-19 concerns but taken back to prison after breaking his curfew. He has been freed again after a judge ruled he had been re-arrested for political reasons surrounding his memoir.

Responding to Cohen’s claims, White House deputy press secretary Brian Morgenstern said: “Michael Cohen’s book is fan fiction. He readily admits to lying routinely but expects people to believe him now so he can make money from book sales. It’s unfortunate the media is exploiting this sad and desperate man.” The White House did not address specific claims in Disloyal: The True Story of the Former Personal Attorney to President Donald J Trump, to be released next month.

It is one of several exposés this year, including Too Much and Never Enough, by niece Mary Trump, and ex-national security adviser John Bolton’s The Room Where It Happened.

Trump has slumped further in the election polls following Joe Biden’s decision to select respected Kamala Harris, 55, as his running mate.

California senator Harris is the first black woman to join a major political party’s ticket and, according to a poll yesterday, Biden leads Trump 53 per cent to 42 per cent, with the president’s approval rating dipping to 39 per cent.
