DAVID Walliams has revealed he feared an intimate part of his body would be squashed when he was taken up on stage during a BGT audition.
He was called on to assist a motorcyclist’s dangerous act.
David, 48, said: “I was told I had to remain still.
“It was scary because I didn’t know what he was doing. I just put my trust in the show that I wasn’t going to get hurt.
“Those moments are good... because it’s intense. I guess it was pleasurable for Simon to see me in danger.”
ANT McPartlin has said being a father has changed how boss Simon Cowell responds to people auditioning for the show. Discussing Cowell’s new-found fondness for novelty performers, he said: “It’s all about Eric and what he would like. Everything he would have buzzed off in years gone by, now he’s like, ‘My son would love that.’ So, he tends to put them through. Like a keyboard-playing dinosaur, what?” Ant added the upcoming 14th series features more inexperienced performers than usual. “I’ll tell you what we’ve had this year more than the last few series is people just giving it a go,” he said. Co-host Declan Donnelly added: “The balls on them to go out there! It’s felt like we’re doing the first series.”
BY TOM BRYANT BRITAIN’S Got Talent is back to liven up our Saturday nights and Simon Cowell believes we may see his son Eric on the hit ITV show one day.
Simon returns as a judge this weekend with David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda HBoYldXeXnXaXnXdXsXaiXdXhXisXsXiXx-Xyear-old is showing an innate talent for showbiz.
Speaking to the Record, the music mogul said: “He’s a great little dancer... he’s got rhythm and I’ve just bought him a drum kit, which he absolutely adores, so he might be a good drummer.
“We have our own BGT in my living room... it’s constant.
“Some of his mates really have got talent so I’m like, ‘Look, if you want to come on the show one year then come on!’”
Eric, whose mum is Lauren Silverman and who has an elder stepbrother Adam, is to co-write seven children’s books with his dad.
Simon, 60, said their sights are set on “world domination”.
He said: “His first question was, ‘Whose name comes first?’ I said, ‘Well mine’ and he went, ‘No, Eric has to go first because E comes before S’. He really is a chip off the old block.”
All the footage from this year’s series was filmed earlier in the year. Bosses have said they hope the show “will bring some light relief ”, with the live finals on hold due to coronavirus.
Simon said: “I wanted it to feel more like it did when we first started. Paul Potts was working at a phone shop... now look at his career!”

ALESHA Dixon says that feel-good BGT is the perfect antidote to our troubled times.
She believes it is one of the only shows on telly that families can sit together on a Saturday night.
She says: “You know, I could sit with my daughter and my nan, and we can all enjoy the show.
“And then, obviously going back to the roots and the bones of it, we’re giving the everyday person some inspiration and a platform to change their lives. I love that.
“When we say, ‘Go for it, you’ve got two minutes to change your life,’ we mean it because that’s what literally happens.”
Alesha, 41, shares Simon’s competitive spirit and believes acts needed to be on the show with a view to win it. She says: “I actually think that if you turn up to the show just for a lovely day out, you’re doing yourself a disservice.”
