If you cry like girl when you lose do ballet

Raikkonen wife’s amazing Mercedes rant

- BY FRANK HAYNES

LEWIS HAMILTON has been mocked by Kimi Raikkonen’s wife for “crying like a girl” after their collision at the British Grand Prix.

The fuming 33-year-old blasted his rival’s “interesting tactics” after the Ferrari driver hit the back of his Mercedes and spun him on the first lap.

His team believed Raikkonen may have crashed into him on purpose to give winner Sebastian Vettel free reign at the front of the field on Hamilton’s home turf.

In an extraordinary rant that’s now been removed from Instagram his wife Minttu hit back saying: “If you cry like a girl when you lose, do ballet.” When later addressing a fan who defended Hamilton she added: “Just to be clear, I was not talking about the driver but the team who was crying afterwards that someone did something on purpose. No he didn’t. It’s called racing.”

The Brit’s accusations of cheating against Ferrari overshadowed his remarkable comeback as he recovered from last to finish second at Silverstone.

He left for London in a helicopter on Sunday night before later taking to Instagram himself to admit he was “dumb” to imply Raikkonen might have deliberately collided with him.

Hamilton posted: “Thank you for loving me for being with all my flaws. I know I’m not perfect. Kimi said sorry, I accept it and we move on.

“It was a racing incident and nothing more. Sometimes we say dumb s*** and learn from it.”

Hamilton and Mercedes will renew their rivalry with Ferrari at the home race of Vettel, who’s eight points clear in the championship, in Germany a week on Sunday.

He said: “We’ve got to keep pushing. Ferrari have got a bit fortunate in the last couple of races.

“It has been such an emotional rollercoaster ride this season. The goal is to be ahead by the end.

“It is Italy versus England. This race encourages me that I still have fight in my heart.”
